GULF COAST DRIVING ACADEMY-WEST COLUMBIA
Good news!
Students will no longer have to stand in long lines to take their written test at DPS in order to obtain their learner’s permit. Each of our three locations will administer the written test allowing less time spent at DPS; however, DPS will continue to be responsible for vision testing.
We are thrilled to be able to serve the teens and parents of West Columbia, Sweeny, Brazoria and all the "West of the Brazos" area.
Our location is 428 S. 17th Street, West Columbia, a block from the Columbia Brazoria High School.
We will be glad to make a personalized birthday card (or Christmas card) for you to give to your teen representing this course as a gift to them!!
The class schedules are below. The classroom portion of the course usually runs Monday thru Friday for 3 weeks. Driving times are scheduled separately as the student has 180 days to complete driving times. Parents or guardians must come by the school, sometime before classes begin and fill out all necessary documents in order to enroll the student. The student cannot be enrolled without the parent's or guardian's signature.
Our complete course cost is $380.00 and you may pay us securely in full below through PAYPAL You may make payments by check or cash with downpayment of $130.00 at registration with payments to be completed by end of classroom session.

You may print and fill out the student's name and information on the contract and bring it into Gulf Coast Driving Academy when you register. THE DATES for the classes will be filled in by the staff assisting you.

We are now offering an option to the parents of CLASSROOM ONLY.
If you would like us to do the classroom phase only of the driver's ed course (consisting of 32 classroom hours), you may pay that portion below. We will do the classroom phase and the paperwork involved. Please be advised it will be the parent or guardian's responsibility to complete the driving phase if you choose this option.
SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO DO THE CLASSROOM ONLY, please contact the Department of Public Safety as that department regulates the requirements for parent taught courses. Gulf Coast Driving Academy does not keep DPS requirements on hand as they are subject to change regularly
