WEEKEND CLASSES NOW BEING OFFERRED!
We are now enrolling for a WEEKEND Driver's Ed Class. The student will need to attend three days a week for five weeks.
We are striving to meet all the needs of our students, including those who are involved in other activities during the regular school week.
Please click WEEKEND DRIVER'S ED or on tab at left ("Weekend Driver's Ed") for information or call Mr. Foley at the Lake Jackson school (979) 299-0030 for further information.
WE DO NOT SIT YOUR TEEN IN FRONT OF A COMPUTER AND EXPECT THEM TO TRAIN THEMSELVES, WE HAVE A FULL TIME INSTRUCTOR WHO WORKS WITH THE STUDENTS DAILY.
WE WERE THE FIRST DRIVING SCHOOL IN THE BRAZOSPORT AREA TO DEVELOP OUR COURSE SO THAT YOUR CHILD CAN RECEIVE a 15% discount on their auto insurance premiums instead of the usual 10% offered by other schools or by homeschooling. This course is integrated into our driver's ed program and therefore there is no additional fee for this course. This discount can make, on average, a difference of approximately $1,000.00 for a five year period. (This amount can vary upon vehicle and insurance company.)
The DADAP (Drug and Alcohol Driving Awareness) Program will be taught in conjunction with our driver's ed classes; thereby giving our students an extra 5% off of their insurance premiums. This discount will last until they are 21 years of age.
THAT'S REAL SAVINGS !!!
A student can only physically miss 5 classes (makeup can be taken home but must be completed.)
TEEN DRIVING consists of 32 classroom hours (16 classroom sessions) and 14 hours in the car - 7 behind the wheel driving and 7 observing.
Payment may be made in three weekly payments however, the final payment must be completed before the 21st day of the month. The first payment must be made at registration.
The behind the wheel and observations schedules are set by the individuals in association with the instrucors.
After the student has completed the first six hours of classroom (the first three days) he/she will be eligible to take their written test at the DPS office in Angleton. After successful completion of the test, they will receive an instruction permit.
They can be scheduled, after they have received the permit, to drive with the instructors.
This course and all instructors are certified through the Texas Education Agency.
